Following her return, the artist took a moment to thank everyone for their "prayers, love, and support" -- and especially the North Bergen Police Department for bringing her home safe.
Sharing a picture alongside the NYPD, Miz Quigley penned:
The Got Your Six campaign is aimed at improving the image of America’s military veterans and helping them successfully reintegrate into civilian life.
A really, really worthy cause.
It's no wonder it's starting to take off — and more and more celebs are joining Michelle Obama's campaign to help those vets!
Here's what MObama said:
“The entertainment industry captures our imaginations, opens our eyes and touches our hearts, and I’m proud to work with them on our Joining Forces initiative. By sharing the stories of strength and resilience that define our military families, we can motivate even more Americans to honor these courageous individuals in new ways. That’s why I’m looking forward to working with the industry in the months and years ahead."
"Got Your Six" is actually a military phrase that means that someone has your back in the given situation.
The idea is to help veterans find jobs, increase educational opportunities, securing housing for the homeless, strengthen the role of families and turn out volunteers in communities nationwide!
And there is ALWAYS a way to help out!
You just have to get on it!
