Coca-Cola is going to test out a new market… the mid-calorie soda market.
Mid-calorie sodas are soft drinks that have half the calories of regular soda. They use a mix of real sugar and artificial sweeteners.
This is probably coming after Pepsi launched Pepsi Next, which has half the calories of normal Pepsi.
What's weird is they've both tried and failed with half-calorie sodas. Both Pepsi Edge and Coke's C2 failed in 2004 and 2001 respectively.
Well, Coke is going to try again but this time with Sprite and Fanta, which they'll release as Sprite Select and Fanta Select.
We'll be interested to see if people actually like these. We're not sure if anyone even drinks Sprite or Fanta anymore. LOLz!
