This one is a annular solar eclipse, meaning that the moon is too far away from Earth to block out the sun completely, and we haven't had one since 1994!
So it's rare!
Unfortunately for those on the east coast, you won't get to see it. We'll be seeing it here on the west coast (including Nevada, Utah, New Mexico and the north-west corner of Texas), and parts of Asia as well!
It's slated for 5:24 PT.
Also, if you plan to look: don't be stupid. Use a solar filter.
