A baseball jersey that was worn by the great bambino, the sultan of swat, the colossus of clout, Babe Ruth, just sold for a record setting $4,415,658.
The price broke the previous record of $4,338,500 set in 2010 for James Naismith's founding rules of basketball.
SCP Auctions, who sold the jersey, said:
"This proves again that Babe Ruth is 'king' in the sports memorabilia world."
It's amazing how much money old baseball memorabilia sells for.
A bat that Babe Ruth once used sold for $591,007 and a New York Yankees cap he once wore sold for $537,278 at auction.
That's crazy that a person would drop half-a-million dollars on a hat.
We guess it's to own a piece of baseball history, but still… cray cray.
