Gary Sinise is awesome. There's no denying that.
We told you about the house he was building for that Afganistan vet that was a quadruple amputee, remember?
Well, Gary always planned to throw a benefit concert for him. He even tried once, but had to cancel because he was injured in a car accident.
That hasn't stopped him: the concert is on, and Gary's band (The Lt. Dan Band) will be playing!
The smart house is designed to make life just a bit easier for amputees, including iPad controlled drawers and counters. The problem is that they can cost upwards of $500k to $1mil to build!
That's exactly why Gary is putting on the show:
"These are young guys that have been blown to bits and they've given a lot for their country and they're going to have to go for the rest of their lives with a real challenge. We're trying to do as much as we can for as many of them as possible."
Incredible! We love seeing people with the means to do something like this, do something like this!
We hope it all succeeds, because Marine Cpl. J.B. Kerns absolutely deserves it for his sacrifice!
Thank you, J.B.!
