Tony Hawk wants to go back in time.
He wants a time where playing was fun!
So he's putting out a new game on his own (after getting the green light from Activision) with developer Robomodo. It's called Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD, it will be downloadable, and is due out THIS summer!
Here's what Tony said about it:
“I feel like the time has come. These games deserve a kickstart in that they can benefit from the new hardware and be seen in a new light. Our first game, it came out on the PS One. Now, it’s a different time.”
He actually spent the last FOUR years dealing with this game, and picked out the seven best levels from the first two Pro Skater games to bring into the HD era.
We hope he can recapture the magic!
Like we said, it's slated for this summer — with a $15 price tag! Along with this comes NO ad campaign or in-your-face advertising. They really are going back to basics, relying on buzz to launch the title!
Good luck, Tony!
