There have been reports that Charlie Sheen was the one who shelled out $230k for Lawrence Taylor's Super Bowl Ring, but according to the actor — that's not true!!
In kind of a jerk move, LT's son TJ put the ring up for auction, after LT gave it to him as a gift. Without asking if he could.
It sold for $230,401, and everyone thought it was the MaSheen who did bought it!
Here's what Charlie said:
“As much as I would be honored to own such an important artifact, I had nothing to do with the acquisition."
It wouldn't be a surprise if he had, though, because Sheen collects a TON of sports memorabilia, including Babe Ruth's 1927 World Series ring.
So you can understand how people jumped to that conclusion!
Still, we can't believe that TJ just cold sold it like that… or that anyone would want it for a quarter of a million dollars.
