Yeah yeah, you're supposed to brush your teeth twice a day. We all know that.
There's an increase in dentin loss, which is one of the layers of the teeth, when brushing within 20 minutes! 20% loss, even!
That number decreases with time — so it's recommended that you wait 30-60 minutes before starting.
So the key is to brush for a FULL two minutes… right after breakfast, and just before bedtime!
But remember, wait at least a half hour if you've gone acidic with your foods!
