The 2012 French Open is a big deal, and it has just gotten bigger for it's remaining contestants.
Li Na has been knocked out, leaving only those who have never won the Open to claim the title!
Luckily the number two seed, Maria Sharapova, has moved on towards that goal too!
The crazy thing is that she had one helluva trial in her way — the match against Klara Zakopalove lasted 3 hours, 11 minutes.
That means it was 16 minutes longer than her first three matches combined!
Here's what Maria said:
"It was a good test for me. I had chances to finish in two sets and didn't but I came out strong in the third set. I guess that's really what matters and it's nice to be in the quarters again."
The final score was 6-4, 6-7 (5), 6-2!
What a ridiculously long match! Wow!
Keep it up, Maria! You can do it!
