We mean literally sleep, like go to sleep with each other in the same bed. Not doin' it.
Though doin' it probably ain't bad either.
The study found that women in stable relationships fell asleep faster and awoke less frequently during the night than single women.
Also, men got better sleep when their women reported their relationship was particularly harmonious that day.
Even if one (or both partners) are snorers or sheet hoggers, the findings still suggest sleeping together is still healthier for you.
A doctor said:
"The psychological benefits we get having closeness at night trump the objective costs of sleeping with a partner."
So you hear that? Push the beds together tonight!
You'll live longer!
