Ex-NFL Star Wade Davis Comes Out!

Wade Davis was an NFL defensive back for many teams.
He played for the Tennessee Titans, the Washington Redskins and the Seattle Seahawks.
During his entire NFL career, Wade never once told a teammate, or anyone for that matter, that he was gay.
He finally publicly admitted he was gay years after he left the NFL.
A woman who interviewed him said:
"He still struggles with identity, both as a black man and as a gay man. He's still trying to figure this all out, but really, aren't we all in some way? His work with the kids in New York City is truly honorable; 70 percent of them are homeless, couch surfers, and they're teenagers. And now that he's campaigning for Obama he's hoping to help the movement. He's a passionate, sweet person, but he's also still an athlete; you can tell, he's still very competitive."
Wade wants to also make it easier for players currently playing in the NFL who are secretly gay.
He hopes soon that there will be an openly gay player to help make it easier for other players to be themselves.
So glad that he's living out and proud now and he's much happier for it.
