Liquor advertising is BOOMING on TV, and it's all because they realized that the audience accepts beer commercials, so why not??
ABC does it during Jimmy Kimmel Live. NBC started in the spring, past 11 pm!
It's fair game as long as 90% of the audience is of legal drinking age.
Here are the numbers: $142 million in advertising from liquor brands in 2010, or about 34% of all media spending by the category. Compare that to $102 million and 23% just five years earlier, and you can see the trend growing!
So if you've been distilling in your garage, buy up some ad-space… everyone is doing it!
