In these hot summer days it is very likely that we will be rocking our bikinis by the pool or beach and nothing looks better in a bikini than a sculpted booty! One of the questions I am asked the most by my celebrity clientele is "How to do I lift and tone my butt?" We all would love to have that perfectly-shaped, rounded derriere and lucky for Fit Perez readers, I have a great booty-sculpting workout that you can try this week!
The key to shaping the glutes is working this area from all angles and I also love to incorporate plyometric moves within the workout, to make sure you are really pushing yourself until failure!
Bombshell Booty Circuit Workout
Complete all exercises one after the other with little to no rest between each one. At the completion of the circuit, rest for 2 minutes and repeat.
Warmup: 250 reps of jump rope
Single Leg Press - One foot on leg press platform (high), squeeze through heel & press up and down - 12 reps per leg
Plie Squat - Feet wider than shoulder width, toes turned out, abs tight, chest up - 12-15 reps
Plie Squat Pulse - Lower to half way and pulse, concentrating on squeezing your glutes - 30 seconds
Side Step Up - Stand alongside a bench or step, step up onto bench, step down to floor - 12 reps per leg
Reverse Lunge - Feet together, step back into lunge and return to starting position - 12 reps each leg
Pop Squat - Start with feet wide in squat position, jump feet together, jump feet wide in squat position - 30 seconds
Rest for 2 minutes, hydrate and repeat 2-3 times
Beginners: Start with your body weight or light weight until you feel confident with the exercises, then increase your weight and intensity.
Advanced: Increase your weight on each round of the circuit or add 100 reps of jump rope between each exercise.
