Everyone was shocked when Andy Whitfield died suddenly after his battle with cancer last September.
What people didn't know, though, was that he and his wife hired a documentary crew to document his journey after he found out — and it has resulted in some of the most powerful footage.
Oscar-nominated filmmaker Lilibet Foster was tapped to capture his life on film for a feature documentary called Be Here Now.
So, they have launched a Kickstarter campaign to help raise the remaining $200,000 needed to finish the documentary, which will be narrated by Jai Courtney, his Spartacus costar and best friend.
Andy said in footage from the fundraising page (which you need to watch):
"In my heart, I am convinced that this is all meant to be."
This doc needs to be shown. Cancer sucks so hard.
