Ricky Gervais Is Funny And Philanthropic

Ricky Gervais is everyone's favorite funny man!
And now we can add philanthropic to that list as well as phunny funny.
On Twitter, Ricky dared a soccer sportscaster, Gary Lineker, to use a British sports cliche in his broadcast.
Ricky said:
"Gary Lineker: I am watching you on my TV. I dare you to use the phrase 'it was a game of two halves'. I would enjoy that."
That means that either team could take the game, regardless of who's ahead. It's an overused phrase that turned to cliche.
Lineker responded:
"I will suffer the abuse that will follow my uttering of the cliche, just because it's you."
So Ricky tuned in and watched as Lineker said the cliche live on air and Gervais was very excited.
He tweeted:
"You did it! You are a man of honour. I will donate £1000 to Great Ormond Street Hospital. The boy done good. Cheers."
So Ricky lost a bet but got to see a sportscaster make a fool of himself on TV and a hospital got some money!
Seems like everyone won in this situation.
