Lauren Manzo Has A Hard Time Watching Weight Struggle On TV

Lauren Manzo, daughter of one of those Real Housewives of New Jersey housewives (Caroline), says she's having a hard time watching her public weight struggle being broadcasted on TV.

But that's not to say she was forced into it — it was her decision!

At 24, Lauren underwent lap-band surgery in 2011 after having tried everything from Jenny Craig to Weight Watchers.

Here's how she feels about it all:

"It's hard seeing yourself on TV. The camera doesn't add 10 pounds, it adds 800 pounds!"

"When I first got it, I didn't want to tell anybody. So many fans related to my struggle, I didn't want to feel like I was letting them down. I've gotten such a great response. It's worth it. If I my mom weren't so blunt with me, I wouldn't be as happy as I am today. I know she didn't mean anything by it. She has always told me I am beautiful — my father and brothers, too. When I hit 120, I'll decide if I want to go to 115. I'm motivated. Hopefully, by the end of the summer, I'll be in a bikini. I've never worn a bikini in my life!"

Awww! We're glad it worked for you!

But we have to disagree with you about how your mom treated you by calling you "8 pounds of sausage in a 5-pound bag."

That's not being blunt, that's being mean, and no parent should treat their daughter like that!

Regardless, we're just so happy that you're finally comfortable in your own skin…
