NASA's Voyager 1 Probe Leaving Our Solar System

Holy shizz!
This is incredibly big news!
NASA's Voyager 1 probe is going to become the first man-made object to leave our solar system!
Here at SpacePerez FitPerez, if we had the amount of money that Mark Zuckerberg had, we'd try and build something to catch up to it and beat it before it gets there. You know, just for the hell of it! Ha!
Voyager 1 has quite the head start though, as it was launched in 1977 and is 11.1 billion miles (17.8 billion kilometers) from Earth.
Here's what one of the project scientists said:
"The latest data from Voyager 1 indicate that we are clearly in a new region where things are changing quickly. This is very exciting. We are approaching the solar system's final frontier. When the Voyagers launched in 1977, the Space Age was all of 20 years old. Many of us on the team dreamed of reaching interstellar space, but we really had no way of knowing how long a journey it would be — or if these two vehicles that we invested so much time and energy in would operate long enough to reach it. "
So cool!
Something WE MADE is leaving the solar system!
Time for them to figure out how to send SOMEONE out there, or to at least Mars!
We're ready for space travel!
Space! Space! Space!
