If global obesity keeps increasing, it may become the equivalent of an extra BILLION people living on the planet.
What's bad for us is even though only 6% of the world's population lives in North America, over one third of the world's obesity is from there.
So even though Asia accounts for 61% of the population they only make up 13% of the weight of the world's population.
A lead researcher in a recent study on this topic said:
"When people think about environmental sustainability, they immediately focus on population. Actually, when it comes down to it - it's not how many mouths there are to feed, it's how much flesh there is on the planet."
So the problem would be that if every other country in the world gained as much fat as North America has, the world could be in big trouble.
So eat less and not only will there be more food to go around, there will be healthier people everywhere!
Do it for your health, the human population and mother Earth!
