Lack Of Sleep Is Linked To STROKE!

Oh no!
If you're not getting enough sleep, you should probably correct that as soon as possible: lack of sleep has been linked to a higher risk of stroke!
Nobody wants to have a stroke!
We aren't talking like pure insomnia here, but just less than six hours of sleep a night.
Those conditions make you FOUR times as likely to suffer a stroke.
The risk even applied to adults who were at a healthy weight, who had no risk factors or history of stroke and no increased risk for sleep apnea or other sleep problems.
Here's what one of the authors said:
“People know how important diet and exercise are in preventing strokes. The public is less aware of the impact of insufficient amounts of sleep. Sleep is important — the body is stressed when it doesn’t get the right amount.”
The three-year study followed 5,666 adults aged 45 or older, with the participants self-reporting their sleep duration and stroke symptoms every six months.
It's recommended that we get 7-9 hours of sleep a night, and for good reason!
