Strawberries are considered a super food!
They actually contain more vitamin C than citrus fruits, so they're great for helping to ward off colds — and foods rich in vitamin C may lower the risk of cancers of the gastrointestinal tract!
It doesn't stop there, though! They don't call them super for no reason: eight medium strawberries gives you a serving that is high in fiber and potassium — things that are great for controlling blood pressure.
Also, being in potassium and low in sodium may reduce the risks of hypertension and stroke.
