Hell yeah, Serena!!
This year she's sixth-seeded, but still managed to to take on Yaroslava Shvedova 6-1, 2-6, 7-5, regardless of the weather.
Here's what she said:
"I didn't want to lose today and I thought, 'Just stay relaxed.' I knew the whole match I could play better."
The whole thing lasted about two hours!
Of course nobody wants to lose, but nobody wants to lose after two hours of effort!!
Serena will next face defending champion Petra Kvitova, and adds:
"I feel fine. I'm not tired. I'm not anything. I feel good. I feel like bottom line I can play so much better than what I have been playing … You know me. I'm never satisfied."
In other news, Maria Sharapova hasn't had as much luck — and has now be knocked out losing 6-4, 6-3 to Sabine Lisicki in the fourth round.
Maybe next time, Maria!
