300,000 Pounds Of Meatballs Recalled

New Jersey based company Buona Vita Inc has recalled 300,000 pounds of meatballs because they may be contaminated with listeria!

The company makes about 200,000 pounds of meatballs a day, including other ready-to-eat meat products.

After an inspection by the Food Safety and Inspection Service and the Ohio Department of Agriculture the possible contamination was discovered.

So far, no one has been reported getting sick but listeria apparently can have a month long incubation period.

That means that some people can get the listeria bacteria in them and not show any symptoms until 2 months later!

So if you're eating frozen meatballs right now put down your fork! Those could be ticking time bombs!

So if you have Buona Vita brand meatballs, we'd recommend throwing them out or face the wrath of listeria.
