Chaka Khan Honored By McDonald's 365Black Awards As Outstanding African-American
Hundreds of people showed up to McDonald's 365Black Awards.
The awards are to honor African-Americans who have made positive contributions to the community.
10-time grammy winning recording artist Chaka Khan, who founded the Chaka Khan Foundation, was honored for her charitable efforts.
She said:
"Helping others and giving back are critical components to making our community stronger, and it was moving to witness the number of celebrities and community members who supported the event. I am humbled I was chosen to receive the 365Black Award with such an amazing group of individuals who also embrace community service. I commend McDonald’s for their ongoing efforts to make community service a priority."
She was not only honored at the event but gave a surprise performance as well!
She's so talented and philanthropic!
What a great lady, she deserves every award they gave her.
