Jamie Oliver is never tight-lipped about his beliefs on food, and today is no exception: Jamie has just compared energy drinks to cocaine when given to kids.
We do think it's a little odd that energy drinks aren't age restricted, but we mean, coffee isn't either. Somehow we've managed to not get our kids into coffee — so is it because energy drinks taste like soda?
Jamie Oliver says that we "might as well be giving them cocaine."
Of course, straight away some people said that was a bit dramatic, to which he replied:
"Try teaching them after they've necked a can of it."
While we don't condone it, we'd say that's still a bit dramatic.
We submit that cocaine is actually like cocaine for kids, and that energy drinks are like energy drinks for kids. You know, because both are pretty stupid things to give to children, but cocaine more so… by a wide margin.
Your heart's in the right place, though, Jamie!
