The other day we were telling you that Drew Brees was about to become the highest paid player in the NFL
even if teachers are paid ridiculously low sums of money and have waaaay more important jobs!
Here's what he tweeted:
"Deal is Done! Love you, Who Dat Nation. See you soon!"
This means he will average a record $20 million annually, which squeaks him past Peyton Manning's five-year deal with the Denver Broncos that averages $19.2 million.
Drew passed for a single-season record 5,476 yards in 2011 and a league-high 46 TDs while leading New Orleans to the NFC South crown, so we suppose he's worth it if you have a huge, seemingly unlimited, budget.
Better luck next time, people teaching our youth!
