At Penn State, there is an area outside of Beaver Stadium where students will camp out while waiting for the best football tickets.

This tent city used to be called "Paternoville."

Well now the student group that manages the area has changed the name to Nittanyville, after the Penn State Nittany Lion.

Even though Joe Paterno was a Penn State hero, his dishonorable discharge from his coaching job after covering up for the pedophile Jerry Sandusky led the school to try and distance itself from him.

The student officers who changed the name said:

"By changing the name to Nittanyville we want to return the focus to the overall team and the thousands of students who support it. We thank the Paterno family for their gracious assistance and support over the last several years."

Students at this year's camp plan to donate to a fundraiser that has all the proceeds going to a child abuse prevention and treatment center.

The whole situation is sad but at least the students are finding ways to cope and tend to their wounds.
