Danny Boyle is a great director, and he probably has a very specific picture in his head as to what the opening Olympic ceremony will look like.
For $40,000,000 he better.
So there have been problems recently, with him apparently clashing with the Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) who are going to cover the pool events.
A source said:
"Danny cannot get the cameras in the positions he wants. There has been no co-operation at all. You cannot describe the atmosphere. It is miserable. It has reduced rehearsal time over the past two or three weeks. Danny wanted to bring in an English crew because he didn't want a sports crew filming the opening ceremony. At the moment he can't get the shots he wants. It is stopping him from doing the great show he thinks he can do."
We guess he is having trouble getting his cameras into position because of the other cameras in the way.
Either that or it's just a bunch of OBS dudes standing around, refusing to move because they're jerks.
We're assuming it's the former.
C'mon Danny, let's get this show on the road.
