This is so fab!
We're so happy to hear that Sarah Robles is going to be representing us in the Olympic games by lifting more weight than we've ever seen anyone else lift in real life.
Seriously, Sarah is an incredible weight lifter.
Sarah has been down for years because all she has to wear are gym clothes… because nothing else is really made for her body type.
Here's what she said:
“I try not to settle. I mostly just won’t wear it. When I do, I’m not comfortable and I want to get out of it as soon as possible.”
Santa Cruz, Calif.-based fashion designer Jill Alexander, who specializes in clothing for curvy women, heard about Robles’ plight.
In a wonderfully beautiful move, they met up and Jill gave Sarah a collection of dresses, skirts and tops to take with her to London for interviews and press events!
Here's what Jill said:
“She’s the perfect role model. She’s one of the top athletes in the world. She’s not unhealthy, she’s not lazy, but she has trouble finding clothes that fit well. She’s empowering women to speak out and say, ‘I deserve better from the fashion industry.’”
And this is how Sarah reacted:
“I packed one of her yellow wrap [dresses] with fun dots and squares on it, along with a taupe lacey top. They make me feel gorgeous, confident and flirty.”
So freakin' fab!
We're so happy — and proud — of both of you!
Good luck in London, Sarah!!
