Any musician could tell you that being on tour can be bad for your health.

Between the exhausting hours, constant traveling, lack of healthy food options, sex, drugs and the rock and roll it's amazing artists even survive their first tour.

Katy Perry recently opened up about how she stays healthy while on the road!

"When I was on the road, I liked to have a light soup, a piece of grilled chicken and some quinoa with grilled asparagus for dinner. I always need my daily vitamins and I loved fresh-pressed juices and coconut water. I also love snacks, but pick healthier options like veggies and hummus, tangerines or Popchips."

She's also the new spokeswoman for Popchips.

Could you tell? LOLz!

She continued:

"Eating healthy is so important because I can't afford to get sick. When I was on the road, it was very important to eat a balanced meal and to make sure my energy was up for every two-hour show."

She kept her energy up not only through healthy eating but also through working out, sticking to "a routine of waking up early, starting my day with a workout, meditating and getting fresh air."

How does she workout while cooped up on a tour bus?

"I love being outdoors. I prefer to go on hikes or ride my bike."

So if she can stay so fit and pretty all while touring all over the country, then you can do it during your everyday life too!
