Tom Daley's Twitter Hater Gets Arrested

GOOD.

You shouldn't be allowed to be malicious anywhere, even Twitter.

So Tom Daley and his partner came in 4th during the men's synchronized diving competition.

A lot of people were let down and upset — none more so that Tom himself.

This didn't stop one jerk from kicking him while he was down.

Tom's dad died of brain cancer just a few years ago.

Tom immediately responded:

"After giving it my all…you get idiots sending me this…"

Not surprisingly, the 17 year old backtracked pretty fast when he realized he was being hated by everyone — and that he was now trending worldwide.

He said:

"I'm sorry mate i just wanted you to win cause its the olympics I'm just annoyed we didn't win I'm sorry tom accept my apology."

"please i don't want to be hated I'm just sorry you didn't win i was rooting for you pal to do britain all proud just so upset."

He has now been arrested at a guest house in the Weymouth area on suspicion of malicious communications — and the Dorset Police said they acted after being contacted by a member of the public. There's no confirmation that it was because of that tweet alone, but come on… we know it's part of it!

Maybe this will keep some other people from being jerks!

Tom — even though you're not from the US, we want to say that we're proud of what you've done — regardless of country, the athletes performing are nothing short of inspirational, and you're no exception.

You've made GB proud, we're sure of it.
