How do they not allow someone to go BACK to jail?
As we previously mentioned, Mark Kerrigan, Nancy Kerrigan's brother, has been in jail for an alcohol-fueled assault that lead to the death of their father.
Mark had asked a judge to be allowed to serve the rest of his sentence in jail so he wouldn't have to be released early and adhere to all sorts of rules involving lots of classes and therapy.
The judge shot that down reaaal quick, saying:
"It is not up to Mr. Kerrigan to decide that he’d rather serve his sentence than abide by conditions. The conditions were ordered."
We were wondering what was going to happen.
If he just went back to jail, he wouldn't learn how to keep something like this from happening in the future.
Good call, judge. Not often you have to force someone to leave jail early.
