If we're going to place bets, we would bet on our peak physical specimens over hunger any day!
A group of Olympic athletes are banding together, regardless of country, to urge international leaders to take on child malnutrition!
This group included Ethiopian runner Tirunesh Dibaba, British long jumper Greg Rutherford, both gold medal winners at the London Games, and others — and they wrote an open letter to Prime Minister David Cameron!
Here's what Cameron later told the summit:
"While people around the planet have been enjoying and competing in these Games, there's another world where children don't have enough to eat and never get the start in life they deserve. We've a responsibility to tackle this."
Looks like the prodding worked!
We just hope everyone follows through when Britain takes the presidency of the G8 next year!
