For a very long time now, there has been a huge list of things that will kill us all.

That list grew and grew and grew until we had a list with everything but eggs on it.

Now that list just has everything on it.

Why, eggs? Why you gotta play us like this? We were bros!

Finally, dear readers: there is nothing out there that won't try and murder you! Now you can do what you want and not even care, because one thing or another will get you.

A new study has found that eggs are pretty much as bad for your arteries as cigarettes!

Last year, the average American consumed 247 eggs — over 40 percent more than the world per-capita average.

They're cheap, delicious, and we thought they were healthy even with the yolk once in a while. Turns out, those egg yolks are high in cholesterol. So, eating whole eggs increases cholesterol… a risk factor for coronary artery disease (CAD) and heart attacks.

The scientists took 1,231 people and studied them, finding that consuming whole eggs was two thirds as bad as smoking in terms of plaque build up.

A single large egg contains more than 180 mg of cholesterol, which is more than a third of a person's daily recommended intake. So off you have 2 eggs and bacon and toast and whatever else you need to fill up in the morning, you're screwed for the day.

The good news for everyone is that eggs aren't addicting, so we can just straight up stop these shenanigans!

Or switch to egg whites. Egg whites are still awesome for you, but the problem is that they taste better with the yolk — right??

Such a dilemma!
