Junior Seau, the former NFL star, committed suicide back in May.
Well the autopsy results have finally been revealed.
No drugs or alcohol were in his system at the time of death!
His death was ruled a suicide by a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest from a .357 revolver.
"No alcohol, common drugs of abuse, or other medications were detected."
They only found Ambien and Aleve in his system, both taken in doses that were consistent with common therapeutic use.
Basically, he was a sad man who couldn't take it anymore.
His brain tissue was sent to the National Institutes of Health at his family's request.
Hopefully it can be studied and they can finally make a link between ex-professional football players and depression.
