We've previously mentioned that despite all the information out there, Americans are still eating too much salt!
And it's not always our fault!
Most of our sodium comes from restaurants and processed foods, so we don't even know how much salt we're eating.
Well, thankfully some restaurants are trying to save us from ourselves. Mainly Boston Market!
Boston Market plans to reduce the sodium levels in their rotisserie chicken, macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes by 20%!
Not only are they trying to prepare their food more health consciously, they've removed salt shakers from their tables!
Their old dishes had some of the highest sodium levels we've heard of, like their large meatloaf with its 1640 mg of sodium, which is the same as their caesar salad!
What's insane is their tortilla soup has 3060 mg per serving!!
One serving of that and you're already 1000 mg over your daily recommended intake! So you do NOT need to be adding more salt to anything!
So now that the food is less salty and their salt shakers are harder to find, hopefully Americans can finally stop it with all the sodium!
