Sandusky Charity Wants To Delay Transition To Shut Down

The Second Mile charity, an organization meant to help troubled youths started by the convicted pedophile Jerry Sandusky, is planned to shut down.
Now they're trying to postpone the shut down. They are going to eventually shut down but for now, they will transfer programs to a Texas ministry until all the lawsuits against them are resolved.
The move would require court approval.
The CEO of The Second Mile said:
"Our goal is to ensure that the at-risk children who benefit from The Second Mile programs continue to receive the support they need while also being mindful of Jerry Sandusky's victims and the horrible abuse they suffered."
Just because the charity was started by a monster, doesn't mean that everyone there is a disgusting awful person.
We're sure the workers actually care about these kids.
What's sad is that Second Mile has been one of the largest providers of youth social services in Pennsylvania.
That is until the whole Sandusky scandal. That's so sad!
We hope that this all works out in the children's best interest in the end.
