If you're gonna get probed, you'd probably prefer one that isn't as huge as one coming from NY state!
The New York State Attorney General just issued subpoenas in July to three firms that make energy drinks… including PepsiCo!
The reason for the probe is to check out information on the marketing and advertising practices. They also subpoenaed Monster Beverage Corp and Living Essentials LLC, maker of the 5-Hour Energy drink.
More specifically, they're examining whether the companies overstated the benefits of ingredients in the drinks while understating the role of caffeine — which is probably what's causing the effect that people feel after drinking that shizz (which you shouldn't).
Even if they have to change their labeling, experts don't expect it to change the amount of sales.
Does the state have to buy the company dinner first before they probe them??
