Everyone has been prepared for Robin Roberts to leave Good Morning America to get a necessary (yet scary) medical procedure done.
We're finding out, though, that she'll actually be leaving earlier than expected.
She announced earlier this week that Friday would be her last day, but has since decided that Thursday would be better instead.
Interestingly enough, it seems like it has less to do about her medical leave, and more about her family — she explained that she will first fly home to Mississippi to be with her ailing, 88-year-old mother and her family in the Hurricane Isaac zone.
Here's what she said:
"I'm having to move up my schedule.
"It's rare to have MDS and mine was because of complications from the breast cancer treatment. I am very blessed. Forty percent of Americans can't even take a sick day, and here I know that I'm going to have a job when I come back.
"I know the journey ahead will not be easy, but I'm going to focus on all these gifts. Just know that I'm going to come back here as soon as I can."
We'll miss you, Robin!
Come back soon — healthier than ever!
We know you will!
