What'd you do over labor day?
That's cool, but that's no giant bacon cheeseburger — so giant, it weighed a ton!
Black Bear Casino Resort decided they'd go against all that was holy and make a 2,014-pound, 10-foot-diameter bacon cheeseburger to set a Guinness World Record in the biggest burger one-off event category.
We just hope it didn't go to waste!
Here's what the Guinness judge said:
“What I saw today was a feat of remarkable teamwork that resulted in a world record burger that actually tastes really good."
At least he got to taste it!
It had 60 pounds of bacon, 50 pounds of lettuce, 50 pounds of sliced onions, 40 pounds of pickles and 40 pounds of cheese — which puts the previous 881 pounds, 13 ounce winner to shame.
How did they cook it?
An outdoor oven powered by propane torches and 15-foot steel skillets. It took four hours at 350 degrees to cook the burger, and more than seven hours to bake the bun.
In the end, it was served to guests for free as part of the casino’s Big Burger Bash.
No heart attacks were reported.
