Politician Attacks NFL Star For Supporting Same-Sex Marriage

Wow. This is ridic.

Brendon Ayanbadejo, a linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens, said that he supports same-sex marriages, which is a big deal for a sports star to say.

So, was he met with praise and thanks for being coregous enough to voice his opinion?

Nope. He was attacked by a nasty politician, Maryland House of Delegates member Emmett C. Burns Jr., who sent a letter to the Ravens' owner.

It read:

"I find it inconceivable that one of your players, Mr. Brendon Ayanbadejo, would publicly endorse Same-Sex marriage, specifically as a Raven Football player. Many of my constituents and your football supporters are appalled and aghast that a member of the Ravens Football team would step into this controversial divide and try to sway public opinion one way or the other… I am requesting that you take the necessary action, as a National Football League Owner, to inhibit such expressions for your employees and that he be ordered to cease and desist injurious actions."

Wow, again. A politician said something ignorant in regards to same-sex marriages?!

Shocker of the century!

How can you be a politician and try and dissuade someone from using their first amendment rights!

We think Mr. Burns needs to cease and desist.
