There really isn't a way we can sugar coat this, or to make it any less horrifying, so here it goes:
MMA fighter Jarrod Wyatt has plead guilty to murdering his friend by cutting open his chest, ripping out his heart, and removing his tongue and face.
In his plea deal, he will serve 50 years to life in prison. Here's what the DA said:
"The earliest he'll be able to see a parole board is 2062. We saved Taylor's family the agony from reliving the incident at the trial."
Wyatt's attorney confirms his client didn't want to testify at trial and he didn't want his family to testify:
"We looked for an agreement that would at least give him the opportunity to be paroled someday. As bad as 50 years to life sounds, it's better than life without the possibility of parole."
Still, with a crime like this, we wish that parole wasn't even an option — an autopsy determined the organs had been removed while his friend was still alive.
If you ask us, using drugs as an excuse is hardly one at all: the choice to take the drugs was yours!
