Billy Corgan just opened Madame ZuZu's tea house in Highland Park by playing an acoustic set!
Billy is the lead singer of Smashing Pumpkins and so he treated customers at his new tea shop to some Pumpkins' hits.
"It's an exciting day. This has been a labor of love. I want it to be a social hub that's interactive. You're trying to draw in different people from different walks of life. We want a dynamic in there. We don't want a passive space."
He apparently styled the cafe after what he thought a Chinese tea house would have looked like in Paris in the 1930's.
That's pretty dang specific! Sounds like a cool place!
Congrats on the opening!
