We previously mentioned that Chad Johnson made a plea bargain with prosecutors in his case for domestic battery against his ex-wife Evelyn Lozada.
Well now it's official.
A judge signed off on the plea bargain that involved no jail time.
Chad is on probation for a year, will have to take domestic violence awareness classes and he is not allowed to contact Evelyn directly or indirectly.
That means no letters, phone calls, texts, emails, Twitter, singing telegrams or whatever. No nothin!
Lozada wasn't in the courtroom at the time of the sentencing but the state's attorney said:
"[Evelyn] did not wish that [Chad] be incarcerated and she was fully aware of the terms of the plea and in agreement with them."
Chad will also still have to pay restitution but the lawyers said they still have to wait on one more medical bill before tallying a final figure.
We're glad this is all over and they can both move on with their lives.
Justice has been served. Let's hope Chad turns his life around.
