The Hunger Games was no lazy movie — in fact, it was all about kids in the best shape of their lives.
So it makes sense that for the sequel, Jena Malone would be put to a rigorous work out regime.
But guess what? SHE LOVES IT!
Playing District 7 spitfire Johanna Mason, here's what she had to say:
"I'm very excited as well, it's going to be great. I just love the books so much. I literally read all three in four days and just was crying at the end. I'm really, really excited to be a part of it. Yeah, we'll get into it when there's more to say.
"Oh yeah, I'm in the thick of [training] but excited. I love that kind of stuff. Sucker Punch kind of got me into a regimen and now I kind of crave it."
Sucker Punch, however poorly reviewed, looked like it required the most ridiculous amounts of physicality for those girls.
We're glad it helped Jena's transition to The Hunger Games… so at least SOMETHING good came from it!! Ha!
Good luck, Jena!
