NBA star for the Brooklyn Nets, Joe Johnson, is claiming that he never bought jewelry that he's being sued over!
Aydin & Company, an Atlanta area diamond dealer, filed a lawsuit against Johnson claiming that he entered into a purchase agreement back in October 2010 for $125,500 worth of jewelry.
The lawsuit says that he took a white gold watch with diamonds, a diamond beaded bracelet, black diamond stud earrings and a white gold bezel set rosary.
That's a lotta ice!
The jewelry store says he owes them the money for the jewels, plus legal fees and interest, making for a grand total of $266,333!
Insider sources say the store's owner asked Johnson to wear the items on loan and would allow him to return them when done.
But apparently when he went to give the jewelry back, the jeweler wouldn't take them and simply handed him a bill.
A judge has yet to rule on the lawsuit. Hopefully the truth comes out.
