Well, almost. He almost caught fire — because when you're working out as hard as he is, all that friction can be seriously dangerous!
Especially if you're wearing really dry clothes and it hasn't rained in months. Only YOU can prevent Josh Hutcherson workout fires.
Bobby explains the five hour-long workouts a week, including one league basketball game and four circuit-style gym sessions:
“I call them mash-ups. We go from one body part to the next to the next, incorporating four or five exercises per circuit.”
So each session has two new mash ups, which are performed four times, with resting in between each completed circuit:
“That way, the conditioning increases, the caloric burn is high, and you’re getting a lot accomplished in a short stint of time, which is crucial when you have only 10 to 12 weeks to get things done.”
Fitness is only part of it, though, as Bobby talks food:
“Nutrition is 99 percent of it. I can kick the crap out of you in the gym, but if you leave here and have a pastrami sandwich, you’re not going to get the fast results you’re looking for.
"It’s clear why [Hutcherson] has come along so far at just 19. He’s really dedicated and focused. Josh puts in 100 percent in his career. And 100 percent at the gym, too.”
Whoever said that celebs don't work hard at their job is nuts, because that sounds like it would make the average person just uncontrollably vomit with how intense it is!
Makes us kinda glad we're not in The Hunger Games… LOLz!
Good luck on set, Josh!
