Chinese Restaurant In Kentucky Shut Down For Using Road Kill

We'll try our best to tell you this story while not vomiting!

YUCK!

The Red Flower Chinese Restaurant in Williamsburg, Kentucky has recently been shut down… because they were seen brining roadkill into the kitchen (presumably to use in their food) — more specifically, the bloody carcass of a just-hit deer.

Here's what one witness said:

"Two of the workers came in wheeling a garbage can and they had a box sitting on top of it. And hanging out of the garbage can, they were trying to be real quick with it. So that nobody could see it. But there was like a tail, and a foot and leg. Sticking out of the garbage can and they wheeled it straight back into the kitchen."

Luckily that witness called a health inspector, who confirmed the carcass and shut the place down immediately.

Of course, the restaurant owner says the deer was for their family, and that they didn't know what they were doing was illegal. Then, they wouldn't admit to having done it before!

SO GROSS!

While we recognize that there are some cultures out there that do not want to waste anything, even fresh roadkill, this has NO PLACE in a restaurant and business!

The restaurant will NOT be fined, in other news, and will also be allowed to reopen after a secondary inspection.

Ew.
