We wish it hadn't come to having a heart attack for Rosie O'Donnell to start keeping better care of herself, but at least she's still with us and she knows the importance now!
She's lost 12 pounds since her August 12th heart attack!
Apparently, when her partner Michelle Rounds was diagnosed with rare cancer-like desmoid tumours in June, Rosie kind of lost control and took up a fattening diet of pizza and sweets to calm her nerves, landing her at her highest weight ever.
Here's what she said about the wake-up call:
"I had a really sedentary lifestyle and that's deadly… It took a heart attack for me to learn to take care of myself… Now I feel like I've been given a second chance at life. Those foods almost killed me… I used to be tired and sluggish after I ate. Now I feel full, but lighter, and I have more energy."
Keep up the hard work — it's obviously working!
Plus this will be a great way to inspire others!
Hope all is well, Rosie!
