Phew! That was a close one!
Portugal can breathe a sigh of relief!
Cristiano Ronaldo has been CLEARED to play after a shoulder injury he suffered in El Clásico on Sunday. It was determined to be officially not serious.
So what happened to him in the first place?
Well… he was kind of showing off with an overhead kick. So it was basically all his fault anyway. We're just glad it's nothing long-term to worry about!
Here's what the club said:
"Cristiano Ronaldo will today join the rest of the Portugal squad.
"The Real Madrid forward, who suffered a sprained left shoulder during the match against Barcelona, was examined at his home this morning by Real Madrid doctors, who have said that his injury is not serious and that he does not need to undergo more tests in hospital."
There you have it!
No worries, soccer fans!
Unless, of course, Portugal isn't your team…
