Former L.A. Laker Sued Over $16,000 Pinky Ring!!
DJ Mbenga, a former El Lay Lakers basketball star, not a turntable spinning DJ, is being sued over a pinky ring!
He was making the big bucks in the NBA, playing for 8-years and winning two NBA championships.
So of course he celebrated by buying $59,750 worth of jewelry from a Texas jewelry company, Lemmerman's.
He ordered a $16,000 diamond pinky ring, a couple of bracelets and a $3,750 Polanti watch.
The jewelry store said he paid a little over $10,000 but when they were looking for the other $49,000… he allegedly refused to pay.
The company is now suing for the money owed plus attorney fees.
This story of a sports star refusing to pay for jewelry he bought seems reallllly familiar.
Don't buy stuff that you can't afford!
